Hello. I am Giuseppe (@giusec) and this is my marketing blog.
I’m Italian and I spend my life between London (where I live with my better half and my dog Eddie) and Milan, where my girls live. During Covid I was stuck in London for too much time, together with +9M other folks. Luckily that time is now over.
Launched in January 2020 with the goal of collecting under the same blog roof all posts and articles published over the last few years, Marketing aX Borders expands the focus of its twin site dedicated to Content Marketing.
I’m a global marketer. Working today as VP of Marketing for Rock Content, a leading marketing & content SaaS provider, I’ve been VP of Marketing for Schneider Electric and Invensys with global responsibilities.
In mid 2020 I’ve started a collaboration with General Assembly, leader in marketing and tech education, where I have been teaching marketing, storytelling and branding. My workshops can be found here.
In addition, I teach Content Strategy and Business Storytelling at 24Ore Business School in Milan. I’m often invited as a guest lecturer at Universities and Business Schools in the UK and the USA; among them LSBU (London South Bank University), St. Edward’s University and McCombs School of Business in Austin. I’m a speaker and writer too.
I have been recognised as the Man of the Month by WinTrade Global in 2022, an organisation that has supported, mentored, celebrated and profiled thousands of women in business from small business owners to leaders in large corporations.
I was recognised as one of the most influential B2B marketers by companies Market Recruitment in 2019, Onalytica in 2018 and Traackr in 2016 and have achieved an essential place among the 2017 ‘Top 25 Masters of Multichannel Marketing’ list by intelligence agency [A].
I’m a vagabonder (today they say “digital nomad”) and a blogger. I started blogging in the early 2000s on one of the first open blogging platforms (Splinder). I was featured by national news sites, like ‘La Repubblica‘. Then I moved to the heavy-coding Movable Type platform. I finally switched to WordPress 13 years ago.
I’ve been travelling for business and leisure all my life. I’ve lived in Sicily, Milan, Austin, and now London. Yet, I’ve barely touched 10% of known countries around the globe. The goal is to double in the next 10 years, Covid permitting. I love sailing and hiking; I’ve recently hiked Las Torres del Paine and Mt. Fitz Roy in Patagonia. I have a passion for South America in general, and Chile in particular.
Rumours tell us that I’m allergic to garlic and social media influencers, but that is largely unconfirmed.
My professional profile can be found on LinkedIn.
And of course, all views on this blog are my own.
