  • Q1 2020 was the slowest quarter for M&A since LUMA started this report, with total deal count down nearly 40% from Q1 2019
  • Unsurprisingly, deal count fell off around March, as fallout from the COVID 19 pandemic impacted buyers’ willingness to do deals
  • Despite this M&A market slow down, several notable deals occurred in MarTech and Digital Content
  • Continued capitulation sales of Ad Tech players that previously raised money at high valuations
